This stuff works great. There's no alcohol in it so our dog is OK with it being put in her ears. Also smells wonderful.
Best of all, it seems to actually work!

Since I try to keep my dogs ears clean I can not say if it helps with mites or tons of dirt. I can say just like any ear drops your dog will hate it or seem like they do. Least mine does. They know when I’m getting ready to use it. But it’s never an issue. Dogs are great and they will let you clean their ears even though they may not like it. After you out the drops in their ears get back fast. They will shake, shake and shake their heads some more to get everything out their ear and try to dry it as fast as possible. Be warn. If not fast enough you will get wet. Once use it my dogs ears are pretty clean and we haven’t had any issues. But like say their ears were already in good shape. At least I think this is good prevention maintenance to use

This did clean my akitas ears pretty well and completely got rid of the smell but 2 days later I could smell his ears again. So you do have to use it often but it did clean very well. Would recommend.

Every once in a while, my dog will shake his head to one side or the other indicating something is irritating the ear of the side he favors during his shaking. I had previously used a cleanser that worked great, but the smell was awful and when administered, my pup would shake his head violently expelling the liquid making matters worse and smell more noticable. I decided to try this product and while the smell is a million times better, I can't really say too much of anything good about it's effectiveness in cleansing. The previous solution I used acted as a flush and didn't require much involvement of digging in his ears to remove dirt. I was assuming this solution would work in a similar fashion, but as I found out, it is really only meant to be used for invasive ear cleaning. In other words, the dirt isn't going away without some physical intervention. While I'm sure this works great to help with preventing and curing infections, it doesn't really function well in terms of cleansing.

We have two dogs, an older hound mix that's around 11 or 12 yrs old and a medium sized longer hair mixed terrier that is 2 yrs old. Our older hound always has trouble with her ears if we don't religiously clean them and make sure they dry out. To make matters worse, our younger dog loves to lick her ears and if we don't catch him in time to stop him, he creates the perfect environment for an ear infection. So we use a few different things for our older dogs ears, but often turn to an anti-bacterial drying solution when her ears start to get "gooey". Our younger dog has longer hair and itchy ears, but doesn't really get infections. He needs something that cleans, but isn't harsh. This solution is perfect for both of them. It's not my normal go-to for everyday ear maintenance (I use a powder for that), but it's great for those times when their ears need a little extra flushing and drying. It smells great and leaves their ears smelling fresh, like cucumber melon. It doesn't seem to burn them at all or be irritating. It works well to flush ears and also dries them out to eliminate that gooeyness that they get when they're starting to get yeasty. We used it a couple of times now with no issues. It seems to have greatly helped our older hounds ear that was starting to bother her. She would whine a bit when we cleaned it the first time and after 3 times she doesn't whine at all. Her ears smell fresh and clean now, which is a great thing.
